Do you have an autistic child?

I wanted to see if there were any other parents of autistic children here. I have a 16 year old son who is a high functioning autistic. He is always smiling and making jokes. He gets along well with others and is very creative. A lot of people say that they are sorry when they learn I have an autistic child. My reply is always the same. "Why are you sorry? I am blessed."
